The Compass Church LOVES kids.
Physically when it comes to nourishing our bodies we eat several times a day no one ever goes from one Sunday to the next Sunday without eating. How much more important is our spiritual nourishment? Like our physical bodies we need to be fed several times a day and as with feeding our children physically it is our role as a parent to be feeding them just as regularly if not more in their spiritual lives.
We desire the Compass Chilenz’ to be a supplement for the kids every Sunday and a help for parents.
We see children as gifts from God. We also realize and take seriously that these children are our future leaders of families and of our churches. Every Sunday your child will learn how Jesus is our RESCUER. They will learn about Jesus in a fun, non-threatening environment, taught by volunteers who love Jesus.
We also desire to equip parents to teach them about the gospel supplying them with resources and ideas with how to practically share the gospel with their child.
COMPASS CHILENZ' AGES: Ages 1 to 10
WHAT CAN I EXPECT ON A SUNDAY?
Every Sunday the kids will join their parents during the first part of the service which gives them a chance to worship in music with their families.
Before the sermon they will be dismissed and gather together as a BIG GROUP they will do a review of past weeks, sing and have a overview of where we are headed for the morning.
They are then broken into their GPS group smaller age specific groups. Each group travels to 4 centers (story center, game center, snack center and art center) This gives them an opportunity to learn with all their senses.
After everyone has participated in each center they will then be in their own GPS group where they discuss what they learnt and share prayer requests.
The last Sunday of every service children grade 2 and up are encouraged to sit with their parents during the service to give them an opportunity to be a part of the body by learning about communion and listening to the sermon.
We understand that some children will find this difficult and let the parents decide what they feel their child can do.
