What god is Great like Our God?

What god is great like our God…

        who comprehends the expanse of the earth (Job 38:18),

        and knows all the ordinances of the heavens (Job 38:33)?

What god is great like our God…

        who sends forth lightning in the midnight sky (Psalm 18:14),

        and tilts the waterskins of the heavens (Job 38:37)?

What god is great like our God…

        who is clothed with majesty and strength (Psalm 93:1),

        and has set the moon and stars in place (Psalm 8:3)?

What god is great like our God…

        who has glory above the heavens (Psalm 8:1),

        and radiates with royal splendor and majesty (Psalm 96:6)?

What god is great like our God…

        who is worthy of receiving all glory and honor and power (Revelation 4:11),

        and is worthy of receiving all wealth and wisdom and strength (Revelation 5:12)?

What god is great like our God…

        who is deserving of sitting on the throne in Heaven, high and exalted (Isaiah 6:1),

        and is deserving of being hailed, “Holy, holy, holy” (Revelation 4:8)?

Truly, none can compare to the Lord our God (Psalm 40:5);

        none can compare to His majestic holiness (Exodus 15:11).

Is it of any wonder then that salvation truly belongs to God alone (Revelation 7:10);

        that Jesus Christ is the only way to everlasting life (John 14:6)?

Only God is strong enough to rescue us from our wretched sin (Romans 3:21-23, 7:24); 

        only God is great enough to radically renew us into a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17).
